About Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings - White Plains
Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao has been selected as Michelin-recommended Shanghainese food for 9 consecutive years since 2007 and has been featured on various media and websites such as New York Magazine, Eater, Gothamist, Grub Street, Serious Eats and many more as βThe New York Cityβs Best Soup Dumplings
Located at 27 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY 10601, Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings - White Plains operates as a chinese restaurant serving White Plains in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in White Plains; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (914) 252-6666. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, nanxiangxiaolongbao.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 1,597 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in White Plains and suggests consistent service.
White Plains is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around White Plains is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I visited this newly opened outlet in White Plains, and it definitely did not disappoint! The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, and the soup dumplings were juicy and flavorful. My server, Hasey, checked on me and made sure everything was taken care of throughout the meal. A special shoutout to Shirley, who stopped by for a friendly chat and helped make the experience even more enjoyable!

I stopped by Nan Xiang Friday night of their Grand opening and had a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in! The ambiance was great and Eiceis the hostess who helped me was amazing! She helped explain the different menu items and what were favorites on it which helped me make my decisions quickly! Her service and knowledge were great. The food was delicious - I got the honey chicken which reminds me of a sesame chicken just without the sesame seeds and the fried pork buns which was also tasty! Iβll definitely be back again!

Beautiful and spacious new restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - I particularly enjoyed the lucky six soup dumplings and sautΓ©ed green beans dish. The refreshments (passion fruit & lime green tea drink and cold soy milk drink) were very good also. My server Matthew was very attentive and friendly, he made solid recommendations and even had their kitty robot visit my table when he saw that I was trying to get a photo/video of the kitty robot delivering to other tables. One of the managers also stopped by my table to greet me and also give me a free giveaway item (cute dumpling design magnet). The ladies at the reception desk are also very friendly and sweet. This is just their second day of opening (soft opening) but the place was already filled with eager diners that have been looking forward to their opening. I wish them all the success, this restaurant is exactly what downtown White Plains needs and offers premiere dining experience to suburbanites. I cannot wait to return and try some other dishes from their menu that I was too full to try today, especially the spicy shrimp & pork wontons that Matthew recommended!
